Car: Must-have. The city is very sprawling. Public transport: Buses/Trains/Ferries on the AT Hop card. Expensive, doesn't always run frequently. Uber: Works, but prices are steep.
AKL: The country's main gateway. Flights are very long and expensive. Routes via Singapore, Dubai, Doha, or Los Angeles.
Relaxed & Outdoorsy. People walk barefoot to the supermarket. Nobody rushes. By 9 PM the city is asleep (except a couple of streets).
Families, sailing/fishing enthusiasts, introverts, and those wanting to escape geopolitics to the edge of the world.
Internet: Excellent (Fiber), but mobile internet is expensive. Coworking: Generator, BizDojo. Café working culture is well-developed. Housing: Housing quality is the main pain point (cold, damp, expensive).
